22-24 July, the 3rd National Technical Conference on Safe Operation of In-service Bridges will open in Songjiang New Century Grand Hotel Shanghai.

The conference with theme ‘Technology Innovation and Smart Management’ is co-sponsored by the Bridge Engineering Department of the School of Civil Engineering of Tongji University and the Bridge Engineering and Technology Network. The research results of safe operation of in-service bridges and the direction of scientific development will be discussed at the conference.

The total number of roads, bridges and tunnels in our country ranks No. 1 in the world, but the technology of safe operation needs to be developed. This conference will focus on three sections of in-service bridges: Safety Monitoring and Evaluation, Maintenance and Reinforcement, Health Monitoring and Maintenance Care. More than 1,000 bridge experts, scholars and representatives of enterprises will discuss together, and contribute their efforts to the future development of safe operation of in-service bridges.

In addition, the latest achievements of the bridge industry, new technologies, equipment and products will be displayed at the conference.
